Sidewalk Repair at Winthrop Path
There are 2 dangerously broken stairs on the path. There is an immediate need for an orange cone so no one breaks their necks. Repair will likely need to wait for end of snow, but is otherwise urgent. Theses steps had been restored recently. The recurrent breakage occurs because the Town never shovels the path until >24 hr after the snow falls, by which time there is packed ice on the stairs that needs to be chiseled off, breaking the steps. The Town could save money in the long run by quickly clearing the snow--the same way that the residents are obliged to quickly clear the sidewalks--instead of repouring several steps each spring.
