Roadway Plowing/Sanding at Juniper St

CLOSED Thank you for your recent request using the BrookOnline Notify Application. - about 7 years ago #14493

While the parking ban was lifted yesterday morning, several cars returned to park overnight ( some of which continue to use handicapped placards). The street once again could not be properly plowed from the prior storm and from the several inches that fell overnight. These cars are still parked on the street which is now well beyond the 2 hour parking limit. According to the Town of Brookline: No driver may park on any street in Brookline, or in any town-owned off-street parking facility, for a period longer than 1 hour between the hours of 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. on any day of the week unless allowed by the Transportation Board. Regarding Handicapped Placards: Additional Information from the MA RMV regarding handicapped placards FAQs page Who can use my Disabled Placard? The placard is for the disabled person's benefit only and only for the times that person is a) in the vehicle or b) being dropped off or picked up. Do Not let anyone else use your disabled placard parking privileges. If you abuse your disabled placard, or if you allow someone else to do so, one or both of you may be fined $500 - $1,000, face a 30-day license suspension, AND lose the disabled parking privileges. Where can I use my Disabled Placard? In Massachusetts: You may use your Disabled Placard in any parking space designated as HP parking. Other parking ordinances may be in effect, so obey all designated parking rules. For instance, if a sign says, "Residential Parking Only," then you must also have the proper residence parking authority.
