Many months ago National Grid completed gas line work along Heath Street, but never repainted the crosswalks. This is a heavily trafficked area and the lack of crosswalks poses significant pedestrian safety concerns. Neighbors have reached out to both National Grid and DPW for remediation. National Grid has to-date not responded and the information offered by DPW is that repainting crosswalks should be done by National Grid. In the meantime, this critical intersection remains a public safety hazard. The neighbors and TMMs in P15 respectfully request that DPW repaint the crosswalks as soon as possible, noting that there are summertime camps in operation at nearby Soule park.
