Public Trees at Browne St & Powell St
A limb snapped off a very large tree--which spans much of Powell Street-where it intersects with Browne Street a couple of weeks ago. It broke into several large pieces that remain on the southwest corner of the intersection. It's unknown whether a car was damaged or anyone was injured by the falling limb. That it shattered upon impact suggests there may be other rotted limbs. Given its spread and sagging limbs, the tree clearly needs to be inspected and pruned by the Town--before other falling limbs cause damage or injury.
