We do not know the whole story and I doubt it was that bad. Animal control is run by the police. It is not a crime nor do we need actual police officers at parks.

The Pierce Park basketball court is open to traffic, if for example, someone was chasing a ball into the street. 60 years ago I witnessed a young boy get hit by a car in similar circumstances .

The big steep slide on the hill at Pierce playground is not safe. Both me and my daughter were injured on it with ripped clothes and skin. It’s too steep and fast and need more protection at the base
