The traffic signal in question is located at an intersection with Route 9 and is owned and maintained by MassDOT. Since Route 9 is a state-owned roadway, it is standard practice for the Massachusetts Department of Transportation to be responsible for the traffic signals and related infrastructure along it. Our Engineering and Transportation Division has referred this matter to MassDOT several times in the past.
